Business moves fast, and when National Grid decided to set up a group operation to address their expanding interests overseas, an existing office complete with furniture was acquired from a downsizing organisation. Our challenge was to adapt the existing office to accommodate a completely different organisation reflecting the particular dynamic and character of National Grid Group within a timescale of 10 weeks. A sensitive briefing process was completed interviewing key personnel from the newly formed departments. This information was then assimilated and incorporated into the optimum layout; achieving the desired proximity relationships and building in the potential for growth and the flexibility for change. Since this project we have been working with the National Grid Company completing strategic level appraisals of their head office accommodation, helping them to maximise the potential of their office accommodation portfolio. contract value: confidential built area: 1900 sqm
