A 1950s commercial building was converted to residential use on the upper floors, while light slots were dropped into the basement to produce two floors of good quality office space on basement and ground floors.

The residential units are approximately 1200 sq ft in area, and a range of internal arrangements were devised to retain the sense of large open plan spaces while providing areas that can be enclosed to form bedrooms when required.
