This fitout of a loft style apartment in a converted warehouse was a meticulous adaptation of an awkward space.

Set over two floors in the roof storey of a former Christmas Cracker factory, issues of vertical circulation and head height complicated the conversion of the two bedroom flat.

A new stair was inserted, constructed from timber treads with open risers and a glass and sheet steel balustrade. The kitchen is separated from the main living space using a half-height Corian screen wrapping round countertops and containing recessed feature lighting. Solid oak flooring complements the exposed brick walls and concealed luminaires in pelmets and specific areas of ceiling allow a fully controlled, customisable lighting environment.
